Version 0.8 Info!

I've decided to release info about version 0.8 along with its release date

Ok, so here are the features that will be available in version 0.8:
- Starter Pokemon Selection
- Pokemon Catching & Levelling
- Offline Mode
- Quests
- Weather System
- Day/Night System
- Starting Region selection (Hoenn & Kanto, other regions still being mapped)
- Pokemon Centre & PokeMart

There will also be the following updates/fixes:
- Registration System [Fixed]
- Pokemon Healing [Fixed]
- Game Lobby [Replaced]

The release date for version 0.8 will be 5th February 2008

Excellent. And I'll be doing Johto and maybe even start on Sinnoh.

When v0.8 is released i noticed u mentioned that we will be able to catch and level our pokemon, does that mean we will be able to evolve as well?
And another thing, u say there will be an offline mode, do u really think that would be a good idea? I mean if people can go offline there becomes the risk where if someone hacks they wont be able to be caught and it will be possible that they come online with all lvl 100 pokemon with 999 in every stat making them impossible to beat, it would also decrease the number of people playing online.

Evolving won't be in this Version, I think. Offline Mode is for those people who have slow Internet connections and they want to play without lag. I am sure that we would realise if somebody came on with Level 100 pokemon that it would be hacked. I also think that the game would be able to be hacked when they are online, and they would be stopped, just as they would be stopped when doing it offline and then coming online(Or the game could be unhackable.). Most people will play, since this in an Online game.

Don't worry the game is pretty secure. All files are encrypted with a 33,000 character password and can only be read by the game. Even if someone did decrypt it, the data isn't readable because its hashed randomly by myself. So its pretty secure

I'm still unsure about evolving, if it is implemented you prob won't hav a choice whether they evolve or not like in the original games.

Then I say do it, most people only stop pokemon from evolving so they can learn a certain move earlier.

I think that offline mode sounds good not because I have a slow interner or anything but because I like playing myself sometimes.

Most MMO's don't do it because MMO stands for Massive Multiplayer ONLINE Game.
